Meet our Maker

Hello and Welcome!

I’m Heidi; owner and maker at Nature’s Embrace Soap Company, wife, mother, yogi and lover of all things nature. I live in Detroit Lakes, MN with my husband and three children.

My passion for creating bar soap started over a decade ago (2008) after ordering supplies to make candles. When the candlemaking was finished I had leftover oils and wondered what else I could do with them. A quick online search landed me in cold-process soap and I was immediately intrigued. After brief research, I poured my first batch of soap and was hooked! Before I knew it, I had more soap than a need for and that’s when I started Nature’s Embrace.

Selling both retail and wholesale until 2011 when I laid down my stick blender to focus on family, it wasn’t until 9 years later in the first few weeks of the COVID-19 stay at home order, that life would slow down and I'd realize where my heart belonged; business ownership and soapmaking.

I’m so excited to once again offer cold-process bar soaps to YOU with the launch of our website in Summer 2020! The soaps to come will be nothing like you’ve seen from Nature's Embrace before. Think premium quality ingredients derived only from nature, with eco-friendly labeling and of course gorgeous visual appeal!
